I figured that I should give you a bit of background on this blog. We are a family of three.
TWM (The Working Momma) - That’s me. Bet you didn’t know that. I am in my mid-twenties A college grad with a degree in engineering. I have a fairly lucrative career with mediocre benefits. I like shoes and purses but I am not a fan of dressing up or wearing make-up. I love buying make-up, just not wearing it. I had an awful pregnancy which I am sure I will discuss at a later time. I don’t want anymore kids after this past pregnancy. I breastfed/pumped for about a week before I had to switch to formula, another story for another time. I have had quite an adventurous life thus far which I am sure will get discussed further. Enough about me.
D (The Handsome Husband, HH) - He’s MY hubby and a wonderful one at that. He has his PhD in engineering. We met in school and have been married for a year and a half. He is a little bit of a nerd but that is part of the reason that I love him so much. He has his quirks but I am sure I have plenty more. He and I make a great team. He comes up with ideas and does the work while I figure out the plan of how to get it done.
Z (The Boy) - He’s the baby. He was born on 9/1/2006 about a week before he was due. He is now 8 months old. He drinks formula, eats baby food that I don’t make (it isn’t Organic either), sleeps through the night, doesn’t crawl or walk and has no teeth. He is a great baby and is super adorable.
That is our immediate family. Minus the pets. We have quite the extended family. They will be discussed later I am sure.

Today Z and I went to the mall. We went on a lengthy shopping trip just the two of us. We left Dada home working in the yard. We didn’t just go to browse. We were on a mission. The mission was to buy me a new pair of shoes, a purse and a cute new necklace. I also needed to exchange a pair of jeans that I had bought online. We got to the mall at almost 2pm and we only had 4 hours to do this in. If it had been a normal mall that wouldn’t have been a problem but Z and I went to the mall of malls here in Houston, The Galleria. There must be about 400 stores in that place. Talk about alot of area to cover. We ended up being somewhat successful. I exchanged the jeans for two pairs of capris. I bought a cute pair of shoes from Nordstrom (the mother of all department store shoe sections). Z got to go to Build A Bear. He made Big Bird. He also ot the cute alligator hooded towel from Pottery Barn Kids and three pairs of jammies from The Childrens Place. Though the rest of our mission was a failure. No purse, I couldn’t find any that I liked and no necklace. I guess I will have to keep looking. This seasons fashions are just a bit much for me. The shoes are great but everything else is just a bit bright, big and bold for my tastes.

I am a working momma with a wonderful baby boy and a fabulous husband. I have been reading and commenting on several blogs, Self-Made Mom for one, in the past couple of months but didn’t have one of my own until recently. First I joined Blogger but I soon tired of not having my own domain. My own little piece of cyber-space. I am hoping that this blog will give me a sense of sanity. A place where I can vent my frustrations or talktype about anything and everything. I have found that most of the time I drive my husband crazy with my chatter and there are just some things that you don’t want to talk about at work if you want to get anywhere. Me, I have ambitions. I always have and I always will (probably). I want to be successful and I am a bit of an over-achiever. Perfectionist is an understatement. A better descriptor would be having a bit of OCD. Anyway, I am rambling and so I will leave you with this. I hope that you come back and visit me often. I hope you enjoy my writing. If you don’t, please don’t tell me. It would only give me one more thing to worry about.
