Sorry I haven’t been around lately to post. I have been busy micromanaging my son’s party. He is turning 2 this year. I did this last year but I am trying my hardest to not go anywhere nearly as overboard as I did last year. That being said, I am totally starting off on the right foot. His birthday party is Aug. 30th and it is the middle of July. The place is booked, the favors are purchased (not put together), the decorations designed and purchased (not put together), the invitation list is made and the cake has been decided upon. We even have some of his presents already. That isn’t overboard, that is anal.
His party is going to be at this place Flip N Out which is one of those inflatables places. They have a separate toddler area which is part of what sold me on it and it is relatively inexspensive for everthing that you get. The best part about it for me is that I don’t have to clean-up before or after the party. Hopefully by putting the party in someone else’s hands I will be able to relax and enjoy it instead of working myself up tighter than a knot in a kid’s shoe lace.

The theme for the party is ELMO. What 2-year-old doesn’t love Elmo? That furry red monster is all that Z talks about these days and we don’t even watch Sesame Street at home, it isn’t ever on when we are there. He must be getting it from school. That is all that we can figure out. So the kid’s will be getting a goodie bag containg a book, a memory game, a ball and a sheet of stickers.

I think that the parents that stay should also get a goodie bag. Maybe a couple mini bottles of liquor, some breath mints, a can of juice and their very own sippie cup. That way not only do the kids go home happy but the parents do too. HH would totally say no to that idea though.
