So Z is almost two. The countdown has begun…10 days until we hit the awful stage of Terrible Twos. Ever since he turned 1 he has began to show his attitude personality more clearly. While there are some pros to having it begin so early I am now realizing that there are also some cons. It only gets worse and it lasts longer. Temper tantrums go to a whole new screeching level. You begin to argue with them (even if you can’t understand everything that they say). They want to climb on top of everything, no matter how high it is or how dangerous. They deliberately disobey you, repeatedly. They either laugh at you or turn on the waterworks when you try to scold or punish them. They try to scold or punish you when they think you have done something wrong.
It may sound like I am complaining but I am really not. I will be complaining when Z is 15 and doing the same things all over again. I don’t think that he is going to magically become awful overnight when he turns 2 or that he will magically become the world’s best child when he turns 3. This is a phase, The Terrible Toddler Years.
It may seem bad now but before I know it he will be all grown up (or at least onto the next phase). Time just flies by like the pages in a day-planner on a windy day. Enough with the cliches, my little boy is growing up.
