I have spent quite a bit of time, effort and money planning Z’s 2nd birthday party. I wanted something smaller than last year and something that everyone would enjoy. I decided to do a hybrid between a kiddie party and a family party. All of the kids in his class at daycare were invited, as well as our close family and a couple of family friends that have children.
The party is this Saturday and so far we only have 1 RSVP from daycare out of 16, my father and his family aren’t coming and my in-laws might make it into town before the party. I am afraid that all of my efforts will have been in vain. I know that it is a holiday weekend but how many people go out of town for it? What if nobody shows up for his party? Why can’t people call and let me know whether they are coming or not?
