So today I lost it. Most people in my situation probably would have. You see, Z has had pinkeye. He was sent home from school on Wednesday with it and he couldn’t go back until after being on the drops for 24 hours.

First off, how many of you have tried to put those horrible, burning drops in an almost 3 year olds eyes? Much less 3 times a day like the doctor prescribes. If you have never done it let me just go ahead and recommend you try it. It will definately spark your creativity, not to mention guilt.

So I have been at home for a little over 2 days straight with a kid who can’t go to school but still has all of the energy as if nothing was wrong. You may be wondering why he didn’t go to school today since he had already had the drops for the required amount of time. We tried to go to school this morning but the director said that if he started making a fuss over it then they would just call me to come pick him up again. Knowing my child, I would have been lucky to get to work and turn my computer on before they called so instead we just stayed home.

And to top it all off, I have been practically dying to go somewhere for the weekend just to get away from everything but HH is insisting on being a real party-pooper. He doesn’t seem to want to spend the night away from home. At least we are going to go down to Galveston for the day tomorrow. Hopefully, that will mean an upswing in my overall morale because right now it is pretty darn low.

I am hopeful that my next post will be a little more positive and a whole lot less whiny.
